Srinagar: The government will provide pension to senior citizens of the family if a earning person of the family die of corona in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. This has been announced by Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha. In addition, a number of more Government assistance has been announced to the families suffering from corona in the State. A total of 8 announcements have been made by the Jammu and Kashmir administration through which relief will be given to the citizens.

Announcements made by jammu and kashmir administration for citizens:-

Monthly pension will be given to senior citizens whose only earns in the family has passed away from Corona.
Special scholarships have been announced by the Government to children whose parents have died due to corona.
The Government will provide financial assistance for self-employment by reaching out to the families whose members have died due to corona.
The Jammu and Kashmir administration has announced a monthly rs 1000 for the next 2 months to all registered construction workers, palanquins, poniwale, pithuwalas.
Instructions have been issued to the officers to ensure timely supply of ration to ration card holders.
The amount of MGNREGA, PMAY, darling daughter and old age pension will be released immediately.
Government assistance including ration to old age homes, orphanages will be made available at the earliest.
All eligible citizens have been asked by the Government to get the vaccine done at the earliest.
