New Delhi JP Nadda, the National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), said on Wednesday that the COVID-19 outbreak has highlighted the necessity to centralise production.

Nadda, speaking at a United Russia Party event on 'Global Challenges of the Twenty-First Century: Interparty Dimension,' said, "The COVID pandemic has highlighted the importance of centralising production and manufacturing, particularly for critical objectives. The world need a supply chain that is diverse and resilient. This has redoubled India's Make-In-India drive and our aspirations to boost our economy's industrial base "..

"In view of the severity of the disaster, all BJP workers were requested to serve the public, the entire party apparatus was galvanised and diverted towards relief measures," Nadda added, praising the government's efforts to combat the epidemic. He went on to say, "To assist persons in distress, we have established 24-hour helplines. Workers from the party supplied food, masks, sanitizers, and held blood donation camps, among other things "..

"Through COVID, India and Russia have sustained collaboration, aiding each other with the provision of machinery and other tools," Nadda said of India-Russia ties. "Almost a quarter of the twenty-first century has passed us by. The global community has faced several challenges in recent years, particularly in the last two years "he said.

"Our reaction to the three major issues of the day, the pandemic, climate change, and the threat posed by radicalism and terrorism and its safe havens, will shape the course of the rest of the twenty-first century," Nadda said.
