New Delhi: India reported 2,927 new COVID-19 infections in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
India reported 2,483 new COVID-19 cases last day. The number of active cases has also risen from 15,636 to 16,279. The active cases make up 0.04 percent of the overall number of cases.
In the previous 24 hours, 2,252 COVID patients have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries since the start of the pandemic to 4,25,25,563. The percentage of recovery is 98.75 percent. In the last 24 hours, 32 person died. With this the country's death toll from the COVID-19 pandemic has now reached 5,23,654.
The daily case positive rate increased from 0.55 percent on Tuesday to 0.58 percent on Wednesday (on Wednesday). The test positivity rate for the week is 0.59. In the previous 24 hours, 5,05,065 COVID samples were tested. So far, 83.59 crore tests have been performed in the country.
In terms of vaccination, 21,97,082 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were given out throughout this time period. With this, the total number of vaccines given out as part of the nationwide vaccination campaign has now reached 1,88,19,40,971.
