According to data released by the Union Health Ministry on Monday (March 21), the country had a total of 2,652 discharges in the last 24 hours, bringing the total recovery rate to 98.74% and total recoveries to 4,24,67,774.
According to data from the Ministry of Health, the overall number of active COVID-19 cases in India has dropped to 25,106. The country's total death toll is at 5,16,510. The first death from the COVID epidemic was recorded in India in March 2020. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 78,30,45,157 samples were tested for COVID-19 as of March 19. On Sunday, 3,84,499 of these samples were examined.
Meanwhile, India's main immunisation organisation, NTAGI, has suggested giving the second dosage of COVID-19 vaccine Covishield between eight and 16 weeks after the first dose, according to official sources on Sunday. Under the National COVID-19 Vaccination Strategy, the second dose of Covishield is being administered 12-16 weeks following the first dose.
