Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy today held a review meeting on the prevailing Covid-19 situation and decided to write a letter to the Central government seeking to cut the gap for administering a 'precautionary dose' from the existing 9 months to 6 months, Chief Minister's Office said in a statement.

The Chief Minister directed the Medical and Health Department to hire doctors and paramedics to fill open posts by January 26 in addition to providing housing and other necessities for staff members working in agency areas.

The Covid New Variant BF 7 Challenge and the building of village clinics were the topics of a review meeting organised by CM.

The CM also requested that building of village clinics be finished by January 26 and that video conferencing services be made available to all teaching hospitals and Primary Health Care Centers (PHCs).

According to the statement, the Chief Minister requested that 104 vehicles be brought and also  building on all medical institutions, including the one slated for Parvatipuram, start by January 26.

The CM also suggested making the Aarogyasri Referral App available to everyone involved in the review discussion.
