New Delhi: According to data from the Union Health Ministry, India reported 1,088 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

With this, India's active cases have reached 10,870, accounting for 0.03 percent of all infections. The positive rate is 0.25 percent per day. The recovery rate is now at 98.76 percent, with 1,081 recoveries in the last 24 hours, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 4,25,05,410, according to the Health Ministry.

According to the health bulletin, 186.07 crore vaccine doses have been provided so far under the National Vaccination Drive. More than 191.19 crore vaccine doses were distributed to states and Union Territories, said the Ministry, with more than 19.88 crore balance and unutilized vaccine doses still available.

"In a new phase of the COVID-19 vaccination endeavour, the Union Government will procure and supply (free of charge) to States and UTs 75 percent of the vaccinations manufactured by vaccine manufacturers in the country," according to the official announcement. Meanwhile, 4,29,323 tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of tests conducted to 79.49 crore.
