New Delhi: The country has registered a decline in corona virus cases, with 1,86,364 new cases of infection reported in the last 24 hours. Now, the total infected cases have gone up to 2,75,55,457. 3,660 people have lost their lives in a day from corona. The total death toll after the new deaths has gone up to 3,18,895. 2,59,459 new discharge cases have been registered in a day. The total number of patients who have recovered so far has reached 2,48,93,410.
Active cases in the country have come down to 23,43,152. This is the first time in the last 44 days that the number of cases registered daily is so low. Earlier, 1,84372 cases were registered on April 14. The recovery rate has risen to 90.34 per cent, while the weekly positive rate is currently 10.42 per cent, according to health ministry data.
With this, 29,19,699 corona virus vaccines were administered in the country in the last 24 hours, followed by the total immunization figure of 20,57,20,660. So far, 33,90,39,861 samples have been tested to check corona virus infection. According to ICMR, 20,70,508 samples were tested across the country on Thursday. On 7th August last year, Corona Tally of India crossed the 20 lakh mark. It crossed 30 lakh on 23rd August, 40 lakh on 5th September and 50 lakh on 16th September. It crossed 60 lakh on September 28, 70 lakh on October 11, 80 lakh on October 29, 90 lakh on November 20.
