Popular Telugu cinema actor Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao was born on this day and is known as NTR. NTR started its film career in 1949 with telugu film 'Mana Desam'. He did more than 300 films. Apart from acting, he has scripted many films and made many films as a filmmaker. Rama Rao was awarded the Padma Shri in 1968 by the Government of India for his contribution to Indian films.
