Preparations are going on vigorously in Bengal for municipal elections. In which all the party is working hard, in view of this, the Communist Communist Party of India (CPI-M) has conducted an internal survey at the party level to assess its power. However, the party leadership is quite worried about the report that has been received. The major reason for the uneasiness of the CPI (M) leaders is the rapid expansion of the BJP. According to the survey, the BJP has left the CPI-M behind. This is the reason that in areas like North Kolkata and Jadavpur, which were once called Laldurg, the condition of the CPI (M) is also pathetic.
According to the CPI-M's internal report on votebacks, the party is going through the worst phase ever. The hold in North Kolkata has become very weak, while the BJP is in a very strong position. Its mental pressure is also clearly visible on the CPI (M) leaders and workers. The report said that in most areas of North Kolkata such as Bagbazar, Shyambazar and Girish Park areas, the fight of the Trinamool Congress is directly visible with the BJP. In Barabazar and its adjoining wards, the BJP is seen to compete with the Trinamool. Earlier the votes of Belaghata and Maniktalla township areas were received only by the CPI (M), but now the BJP has made a dent there too. If elections were held in Kolkata immediately, the BJP's victory in the wards between 107 and 133 in the CPI-M report is certain.
For your information, let us tell you that Trinamool is looking strong in Jadavpur, Gardenerich and Behala areas, because the minority voters in the said areas are X-Factor, which will play an important role in Trinamool's victory. But here too, the fight is seen between BJP and Trinamool. Jadavpur, once a strong valley for the Left Front, also saw a change in the political equation during the Lok Sabha elections, as the BJP's vote bank increased rapidly in the 107 and 108 wards of Jadavpur, BJP got 49.49 percent votes, while the Trinamool 45.8 percent. BJP is ahead in 111 and 112 Nawar wards. Here 49.12 percent votes can be received, while Trinamool gets 47.8 percent. The CPI (M) leaders are also surprised to see the growing mass base of the BJP in Jadavpur, despite such demonstrations on burning issues like CAA and NRC.
