In Kochi: Deshbhimani, the mouthpiece of the Left Government CPI (M) in Kerala, recently attacked former Congress President Rahul Gandhi, claiming that the hotel where he stayed during the assembly elections is still due of Rs 6 lakh. However, reacting to CPI(M) claims, Congress leader Bindukrishna has accused the ruling party of carrying out a fake campaign. He said the kind of shock given to CPI (M) in the state by the people in Kollam is now trying to recover.

Congress leader Bindukrishna claimed that the Quilon hotel where Rahul Gandhi was staying has not a single rupee left. All dues have been paid. The Congress leader posted a letter from the hotelier on Facebook saying that those spreading such lies will be dealt with legally. The Quilon hotelier in his letter claimed, "All dues have been cleared after the stay of other prominent people including Rahul Gandhi. The Quilon Beach Hotel has no dispute about it".

It was claimed in the mouthpiece Deshbhimani of CPI (M) that the hotel dues were not paid Rs 6 lakh after Rahul Gandhi's stayed at the hotel. During the Kerala Assembly elections. He was also seen fishing with fishermen. They had also thrown a fishing net into the sea. But, even after all this, the Congress could not do much in Kerala. Because under Pinarai's leadership, CPI (M) has won with majority.
