Miscreants open fire during robbery at jewellery shop as crime continues to rise in UP

Lucknow: While everyone is trying to earn a living during the Corona epidemic, criminals are trying to target traders and commit robbery all evening due to lax law and order situation. The case is from Gudumba police station area of Lucknow where miscreants riding bekhoff bikes a few steps away from the police post have targeted a jewellery shop called Anjani Jewellers with the intention of looting it. Meanwhile, when the owner of the adjoining general store tried to defend himself, the miscreants also opened fire on them and fled easily.

According to reports, 3 bike borne miscreants attacked a jewellery shop called Anjani Jewellers at Chuia pur intersection under Gudumba police station area with the intention of looting. There was panic at the spot after the firing. It is learnt that piyush agarwal, a general store trader next door, reached there and intervened when fearless miscreants started shooting at him. Piyush, who was injured after being shot, was sent to the trauma centre for treatment.

The attempt to rob and the shooting incident have openly challenged the police before the start of a 3-day complete lockdown between the Covid curfew. Local police along with JCP Crime Nilamba Chaudhary rushed to take stock of the spot and are on a search operation to nab the culprits.
