In view of the virus outbreak, the Lieutenant Governor on Wednesday appointed Sandeep Kumar, a 1997 batch IAS, as the Finance Secretary. The post was earlier held by Rajiv Verma, who was suspended by the Union Home Ministry on 29 March. Verma was also handling the responsibility of Mandalayukta. On Tuesday, the 1996 batch IAS Geetanjali Gupta was posted as Mandalayukta, but in a new order issued on Wednesday, this responsibility was now given to the 1994 batch IAS Sanjeev Khirwar.
