Bangalore: Recently, a picture of Belagavi of Karnataka is going viral on social media. The photo is of Belagavi's police station, in which a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) cobra commando is seen sitting on the ground and his hands are tied with chains. According to the information, the photo getting viral is of CRPF's Cobra Commando Sachin Sunil Sawant. Which has been arrested by Karnataka Police.

He is accused of assaulting policemen and obstructing judicial work. Sawant was arrested on 23 April under the Pandemic Diseases Act. Actually, Commando Sachin Sawant was on his home in Belagavi on leave, but in the meantime there was a lockdown which forced him to stay at his home. Meanwhile, this incident of fighting came to light. After the photo went viral, the IG of Belagavi ordered a serious investigation into the entire matter.

He said that strict action will be taken against whoever is found guilty in this case. On the other hand, the Additional Director General of CRPF has sent a letter to the DGP of Karnataka demanding an inquiry into the matter. The cobra jawan was arrested on 23 April and according to information he is still in jail.
