CSIR Director expresses apprehension on corona may 'attack' again in 2021

New Delhi: The year 2020 passed completely fighting the coronavirus. However, by 2021, the corona vaccine developed worldwide and especially in India has brought relief to the whole world. So far, more than 7.5 million people have been vaccinated in India, and corona cases have also dropped as expected. Even then, experts are not sure about the virus. Experts say that the virus can return anytime and attack.

Dr. Anurag Aggarwal, director of the Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (CSIR), points out that technology contributed to making India's first corona vaccine and that vaccine is necessary to protect a large population from infection. Along with this, Dr. Anurag is instructing to be careful in addition to preparing for rescue in the corona epidemic.

He said that with the help of technology, our frontline workers and health workers can get modern resources like effective testing kits, self-protection kits, molecular surveillance mechanisms, medicines, and other digital equipment to fight corona. With the help of technology, we were able to track the mutations of the virus, develop Indian kits for corona screening, make an adequate amount of drugs and equipment.
