NEW DELHI: The declaration of the results for the Common University Entrance Test for undergraduate courses (CUET-UG) is expected to take place on Saturday, July 15
UGC Chairman Professor M. Jagadesh Kumar stated, "NTA is diligently working towards promptly announcing the CUET-UG results. NTA aims to announce the results today with utmost certainty."
The CUET-UG results are highly anticipated by students, as the commencement of the new session in universities hinges upon them. Similar to the previous year, this year's results will provide normalized scores, which will enable universities to prepare merit lists for admissions.
"While announcing the results, it is imperative that we maintain an error-free process, considering the complexity involved in administering CUET-UG. A total of 841 question papers were utilized, including 214 in different languages, 534 in English and Hindi, and 93 in 11 regional languages. The cumulative number of questions across these papers amounted to 1.48 lakh," added Kumar.
He further explained that candidates from all corners of the country were given the opportunity to challenge the keys from June 29 to July 1. A total of 25,782 answer key challenges were received, out of which 3,886 were unique. The processing of this data and the finalization of results require time. As of now, the result committee is scrutinizing the data and will soon authorize the announcement of the results.
In CUET (UG) 2023, a total of 28,06,021 candidates registered across all slots, out of which 19,15,433 appeared for the test. The test was conducted in 295 cities throughout India in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode, with an additional 17 cities abroad.
According to the National Testing Agency, no other examination in the country garners as much significance as CUET-UG, given the wide array of test papers available for students to choose from and the considerable number of students who undertake this test.
