Pratapgarh: A horrifying acid attack has been reported in Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh. The couple sleeping in the hut have been attacked with acid. The husband and wife have been seriously injured in the acid attack. The couple was first taken to the District Hospital after the incident. They were again referred to Prayagraj by doctors as their condition was critical. The police is currently investigating the case.
The sensational incident of an acid attack has come from Bhogapur village of Jadhanthavara police station. According to Khabar, a man named Amarjeet was sleeping in a hut at a poultry farm some distance from the village with his family. At night, unidentified men threw acid at Amarjeet and his wife and escaped. After the acid attack, the couple started shouting. Amarjeet's son woke up hearing the noise and called his uncle in the village. The villagers rushed for immediate help and took the couple to the District Hospital for treatment. The doctors referred them to Prayagraj after first aid. The situation is now being reported out of danger.
Additional Superintendent of Police Dinesh Dwivedi and Co Sadar Anu Upadhyay reached the district hospital along with heavy force as soon as the incident was reported. Police have questioned the couple. The police official said the investigation into the case is currently underway. The perpetrators will be arrested soon.
