Senior IPS officer CV Anand, who is on deputation with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), has been posted as Director of National Industrial Security Academy (NISA) in Hyderabad replacing IPS officer Anjana Sinha. After leaving for Central deputation in February 2018, Anand was working as IG Airport Sector-II in Bengaluru.

In the orders issued on Monday, Anand will also hold additional charge as IG, Airport Sector-II, Bengaluru. Anjana Sinha is also on deputation with the CISF. On transfer, she was posted to the southern sector headquarters, Chennai. The CISF Director-General has approved the postings with immediate effect in view of administrative and operational considerations.
Talk about CV Anand, then he is a mechanical engineering graduate from Sri Venkateshwara University, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, Anand had joined NTPC as an Executive Engineer Trainee in 1983. During his career spanning over 36 years, he has made contributions in improving operation, maintenance and commissioning systems of NTPC power plants and commercial aspects of power business.

He also has the credit of working in General Administration departments outside the police such as Excise and Prohibition Director for 2 years and as Food Secretary of Telangana. Upon promotion as Addl DG, he was the first IPS officer in the country to be posted as head of the Telangana Public distribution system as Principal Secretary Food Civil supplies department holding additional charge of commissioner and VC and MD of the civil supplies corporation and controller.
