With lockdown and growing corona virus cases, people are more willing to do online transactions. But with the increase in online transactions, cyber criminals are implementing a plan to steal money from cyber crimens account. However, from lockdown to google, fake phone numbers are being put in the name of customer care service and are pulling out the money of customers.

A recent fraud case has come to light, in which a man from Dundigal is in a business of transacting money with Rapip Fintech Pvt Ltd. He says that on the 3rd of this month a customer came and asked me to withdraw money but it was not successful. The company searched for a customer care service number in Google for technical assistance. But a few hours later I got a call calling me customer care service. He suggested that the transactions were not happening, problems were arising, and downloading any desk app.

However, the next day, Rs. 70,000 was removed from his account without his consent. As he said, his cell phone received an SMS that rs 70,000 was transferred from his bank account to another bank account. The victim filed a complaint with cybercrime police on 19th of this month.

The Saidarabad police have advised everyone not to search for customer care numbers on Google. Use a number other than the cell phone number linked to the bank account to make a call. However, if they face technical difficulties with the company they work in, they should chat and clear with customer service. Do not share bank account details with anyone in any case.
