Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is working towards setting up bicycle stations and providing benefits to the people. The civic body has already laid bicycle tracks around The KBR Park for the convenience of the people. Apart from laying bicycle tracks, the Municipal Corporation is now in the process of setting up bicycle stations for the convenience of the people. Users can check through an app and pay a nominal fee for it.

A GHMC official said that the app is being developed and the project is being successfully developed. Work with private agencies is going on to start the project. Additionally, similar tracks are being built in 23 and 26 corridors in jubilee hills. At the same time, efforts are being made to start such projects at Raj Bhavan Road, Necklace Road and Longar Hose Road (Vasavi College) and efforts are being taken to start the project early.

Based on the opinions from the customers, such facilities are available in other places in the city. The Municipal Corporation has developed bicycle tracks in some areas of the Western Zone, but has approved them to implement various works including pavement, roadworks and road width.
