Kolkata: Cyclone Nivar is expected to take a more extreme form. In view of this, 30 NDRF teams have been deployed in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry on Tuesday.

The NDRF says that nine of these teams have been deployed only in Puducherry. The Meteorological Department says that the storm may knock off the coast of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry on Wednesday, followed by rain in most parts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. NDRF Director General SN Pradhan said that he had a meeting with the head of the meteorological department, Mrityunjay Mahapatra, in which he said that there is a full possibility of heavy rains.

The storm is moving as expected and it is becoming more dangerous. The speed of a cyclone can be up to 85-110 kmph. Pradhan said that as it is estimated that the storm may have a deep impact in Puducherry and Tamil Nadu, but at present everything is under control. Need help being given.
