Kolkata: Cyclone Nivar is expected to take a more extreme form. In view of this, 30 NDRF teams have been deployed in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry on Tuesday.

The NDRF says that nine of these teams have been deployed only in Puducherry. The Meteorological Department says that the storm may knock off the coast of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry on Wednesday, followed by rain in most parts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.
