The decision comes as part of Dabur's strategic expansion initiative to fortify its presence in the region and cater more efficiently to the burgeoning demand for its diverse portfolio of products, ranging from Ayurvedic Healthcare to personal and home care items like the iconic Dabur Honey, Dabur Red Paste, and Odonil air fresheners.

In an official statement, Dabur India disclosed that its board, in a convened meeting, greenlit the substantial investment for the setup of this state-of-the-art greenfield facility in southern India. Speaking on the development, Mohit Malhotra, the CEO of Dabur India, emphasized the burgeoning significance of the southern market, which presently contributes 18-20 percent to Dabur's domestic operations. He underlined the imperative to establish a local manufacturing hub to seamlessly meet the escalating demand in this region.

"This strategic move not only signifies our commitment to the southern market but also underscores our proactive approach to enhancing our manufacturing capabilities," stated Mohit Malhotra. Renowned for brands such as Dabur Amla, Dabur Vatika, and Real juice, the company envisions this venture not only as an avenue to create employment opportunities but also as a strategic maneuver to reinforce its manufacturing prowess in the region.

The establishment of this new manufacturing unit is anticipated to not only stimulate local economic growth but also to foster Dabur's mission to deliver high-quality products to consumers across southern India efficiently. As the company gears up to embark on this transformative journey, anticipation brews around the positive impact it will have on the local economy and the broader market landscape.
