The Tibetan religious leader Dalai Lama On Friday met Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at his official residence. He prayed for the welfare and peace of all. Nitish Kumar gave a warm welcome to the exiled Buddhist Guru and presented him with a bouquet and Angavastram. After this, Kumar and the Dalai Lama took pictures together.
For your information, let us tell you that after this the Dalai Lama along with other Buddhist monks prayed in front of the Bodhi tree at 1, Anne Marg Bungalow of the Chief Minister and wished for peace and prosperity. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, Speaker of the Assembly Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Acting President of Legislative Council Aaron Rashid and Minister of State Ashok Chaudhary were also present.
CM presented the statue of Lord Buddha to the Dalai Lama. The Dalai Lama comes to Bihar every year in December-January and during this time he teaches in Bodh Gaya. In Bodh Gaya itself, Buddha attained enlightenment about two thousand years ago. He also organizes the tantric initiation ceremony 'Kalachakra' here. Last week, the Chief Minister met the Dalai Lama at a Tibetan temple in Bodh Gaya and told him about the state government's 'Jal Jeevan Hariyali' campaign.
