Regarding this matter, BJP's Regional General Secretary Prajapati Indrapal Bajrangi tweeted, 'We do not give pavilions to Valmikis: Yasin, pavilion owner. The mandap was booked for the marriage of April 9; the receipt has been cut, but on finding out the caste (Valmiki), the mandap owner, Yasin, refused to give the mandap. Why shouldn't action be taken against this mandap and its owner? After this, Meerut Police reacted to his tweet. Meerut police wrote that orders had been given to register a case in the above-mentioned case. It has been told by the respondent that the marriage will be conducted in the mandap only.

The victim, Jaideep, has filed a complaint in this matter. Jaideep has said in the complaint that 'I had booked the Golden Farm House for my sister's wedding." For this, Rs 10,000 was also given in advance. On April 5, 2023, Rais Abbasi, the owner of the farm house, got a call that your booking had been cancelled. Jaideep has written in his complaint that Rais Abbasi told him, 'Your caste is Valmiki, so your booking is cancelled.' Not only this, but Abbasi also spoke casteist things, abused Jaideep, and threatened to kill him along with his family if he filed a case. Jaideep said that he is a resident of Alipur village, under Kharkhonda police station in Meerut district. They are the only Hindu family living in that village. He says that all the families in Alipore belong to Muslims. That's why he is in danger for his life and that of his family. He has requested strict action against Rais Abbasi.

Actually, Jaideep is working as a sweeper for the Meerut Municipal Corporation. His sister Pinky is getting married on April 9, 2023. For this, he had booked the Golden Farm House. Now, when only four days are left for the marriage, Abbasi has refused. After this, Jaideep went to the people of his community and, at their request, gave a written complaint to the SSP. On the other hand, the BJP councillor says that the manager of the mandap said that if he had known that they were Dalits, he would not have booked the form at all. The BJP corporator said that the marriage will happen in the same form, no matter what has to be done for it. At the same time, the police have also made it clear that the defendant has said that the marriage will take place in his mandap only. Along with this, a case has been registered against the accused.

In some media reports, the name of the owner of the farm has been mentioned as Mohammad Yasin and the manager's name as Rais Abbasi. The police have registered a case against Rais Abbasi under sections 504 and 506 of the IPC, as well as under section 3(2)(va) of the Scheduled Castes and Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act (SC/ST Act).
