Kaimur: A tourist bus going from West Bengal to Agra in Uttar Pradesh collided head-on with a sand-laden truck. The accident was so dangerous that the bus driver died on the spot. 35 passengers were injured. The incident took place on Monday morning near Chilbili village under the Kudra police station area. The collision between the bus and the truck was so strong that the bus was shattered. There were a total of 55 passengers on the bus during the accident, out of which 35 passengers were badly injured.

Nhai and Kudra police personnel reached the spot as soon as the information was received. All the injured persons were immediately sent to Kudra Primary Health Centre. Anita Das, a passenger on the bus, said that the bus was going to Agra from Bengal. We stayed at a dhaba in Kudra. After tea and breakfast, we boarded the bus and headed ahead. Two to three minutes later, the collision took place, in which many people are injured.

A male passenger on the bus said that we were coming from Kolkata, and had to stop in Ayodhya. Before this, the bus crashed. Many people are injured in the accident. Villagers who reached the spot said that the bus had stopped near Guru Nanak Basera Hotel. After going a short distance from there, it collided head-on with a speeding truck. NHI employee Rameshwar Ram said that the bus and the truck were coming from face to face. Due to the direct collision, the driver was trapped in the cabin. Due to this, he died on the spot. 12 NHAI personnel were deployed for rescue and relief.
