Data Selfie is an open application, which reads you Facebook data and gives back to you. Designers say that their intention to launch this project is to provide transparency to the Facebook users. The new application does not harm your privacy policy, as it does not create a database, rather it provides a temporary display for the user to read their data.

When you install Data Selfie, it will ask to allow the extension. As you allow extension, it will run in the background, whenever you log-in to facebook.

It will record several data from your account:

1. Clicks on likes in your newsfeed.
2. Clicks on newsfeed links to external sites.
3. Duration spent on different posts and the specifics of those posts.
4. Anything you type.
5. The overall time you spend on Facebook.

Data Selfie supports many languages- English, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Swedish. Soon, the company will design its mobile version for the android, windows and iOS users.
