Lucknow: A police officer and his son have been arrested for the murder of their daughter-in-law in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Both of them are accused of killing the daughter-in-law for dowry. Actually, Inspector Arun Singh, a resident of Kanpur, is currently posted in Auraiya. On 22 December 2020, his son Adarsh ​​Singh was married to Diksha Singh.

Diksha's family is a business house of Kasganj. Diksha's family had married after spending 40 lakhs, but despite this, the inspector's family was demanding another 20 lakh rupees. For this, he also used to beat her. On Tuesday, Diksha was found dead in a suspicious condition in the house. Blue marks were found at many places on her body. After Diksha's death, her family members who reached Kanpur started a ruckus by accusing the inspector and his family members of killing Diksha. After all, the police registered an FIR against five people including Inspector Arun Singh, his son Adarsh ​​Singh for the dowry killing of the daughter-in-law. After this, the family calmed down. After this, the post-mortem of Diksha's body was done.

After this, the police arrested Inspector Arun Singh and his son Adarsh ​​Singh. ACP Ashok Kumar Shukla has informed over the phone that after writing the FIR of the relatives, the inspector and the son have been arrested. Further action will be taken after the post-mortem report is received.
