Patna: In a tragic incident, a 75-year-old father-in-law was beaten to death by her daughter-in-law over a domestic dispute in Bihar's Chhapra. The police reached the spot as soon as the news of the case was received. The body has been sent for post-mortem and an investigation is underway. On the complaint of the family, the police arrested the culprit daughter-in-law. It is being said that there was a fight between the daughter-in-law and father-in-law over filling water from the hand pump. After that, the daughter-in-law beat up her elderly father-in-law.
Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar said that the incident took place in the Sahebganj area of Chhapra. Ramnath Prasad, a 75-year-old man, was killed by his daughter-in-law. There was a fight over the hand pump installed in the house. Which was established by daughter-in-law Pinky Devi (40). It is alleged that Pinky did not allow anyone to fill the water from the hand pump. The killing of the father-in-law by the daughter-in-law has become a topic of discussion in the entire district. The old man lived in Chhapra with his daughter-in-law and grandson and he is retired from the Indian Army.
The same sick father-in-law filled water from the hand pump which his daughter-in-law did not like and she beat her father-in-law. The family members said that recently the father-in-law had a heart operation. At the same time, the husband of the criminal woman told the police that his wife had an illicit relationship with a Muslim man. His father had caught him red-handed. His father and other family members opposed it. After which the wife drank alcohol and beat her father. Father-in-law Ramnath Prasag was injured in this assault and he was immediately admitted to the hospital. In view of his critical condition, doctors referred him to Patna. But he died on the way. On the complaint of the deceased's son, the police registered a case and the police arrested the culprit and sent the daughter-in-law to jail. People in the neighbourhood told the police that there was a dispute in the family for a long time. The body has been handed over to the family members after post-mortem.
