New Delhi: As the monsoon session of Parliament begins, the Congress has reconstituted groups of MPs in the Lok Sabha-Rajya Sabha ahead of the monsoon session of Parliament. In fact, Parliamentary Party President Sonia Gandhi has reconstituted her groups of MPs in the Lok Sabha and Rajya sabha. The Congress has reconstituted groups of MPs to facilitate and ensure the effective functioning of the party in both houses of Parliament. The Congress is now scheduled to hold an important meeting today ahead of the monsoon session.

In fact, Congress President Sonia Gandhi is scheduled to chair a meeting with the party's Lok Sabha members (MPs) today, a day before the monsoon session of Parliament. In this regard, Congress party functionaries say, "The meeting will be held through video conferencing. The monsoon session of Parliament with opposition parties is expected to be stormy to corner the Central government on issues like hike in petrol and diesel prices, alleged corona mismanagement, and vaccine shortage.'' An all-party meeting has also been convened at 11 am ahead of the monsoon session of Parliament today.

Let me tell you that officials familiar with the matter say that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also expected to attend the meeting convened by Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi. Later in the day, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has also convened an all-party meeting of floor leaders at 4 pm.
