Deepak Verma, the Lokpal of the Delhi and District Cricket Association, has taken big action. Deepak Verma has prohibited Joint Secretary Ranjan Manchanda, Directors Apoorva Jain, Alok Mittal, Natan Gupta from doing any administrative work. Earlier in November 2019, senior journalist Rajat Sharma resigned as the chairman of DDCA.
Apart from Rajat Sharma, DDCA treasurer OP Sharma also resigned. In this way, the post of President and Treasurer is already vacant in Delhi and District Cricket Association. A Delhi court on Wednesday issued an order suspending the two vice-presidents, the secretary and the joint secretary. Let us tell you that now eight out of 16 posts in DDCA are vacant and the remaining eight posts have government nominees. The DDCA ombudsman has already placed an order for forensic audit. Apart from this, a separate appeal for appointment of Administrator is filed in Delhi High Court.
Rajat Sharma has resigned: DDCA has been in controversies about the pull of its officers for almost a year. Senior journalist Rajat Sharma resigned as the chairman of DDCA in November. Rajat Sharma termed the ongoing tussle and pressure between the organization as the reason for his resignation. Rajat Sharma's tenure was for about 20 months.
