According to police, 20-year-old Aarti Kumari Pal, a resident of Bihar, boarded the Swaraj Express from Mumbai's Bandra Terminus on Sunday. The train was on its way to Jammu Tawi and the woman was on board bogie number 4.

The TC also tried very hard to open the door, but he did not succeed. After a long struggle, the train was stopped at Dahanu Road railway station in Palghar at around 1.10 pm when the gate did not open even after a long struggle. Police identified the woman through aadhaar card and after investigation, the body of the woman was taken to a cottage hospital in Dahanu in Palghar for post-mortem. The police are now waiting for the post-mortem report to come. The police hope that the real cause of death will be clear after the PM's report comes out.
