Muzaffarnagar, Today, a bullet-ridden body of a 40-year-old Dalit man was found in Bhupkheri village of the district. SP Rakesh Jolly said, "a body was found in a field in the area and an old enmity is suspected to be the reason behind murder".
The body has been sent for the postmortem and a case has been registered against six persons.
Some locals protested and demanded compensation for the family of the deceased.
To prevent any untoward incident, a security has been tightened in the area, said SP.
