Lucknow: The body of a woman was found in the fields in the Banda district of Uttar Pradesh on Friday evening, triggering panic in the area. After receiving the information, the Superintendent of Police (SP) along with a heavy police force reached the spot and started investigating the case. Prima facie, the case seems to be a murder in a love affair. However, the matter is being investigated.

According to the report, the case is of Bachheura village under the Tindwari police station area. On Friday evening, while returning from the fields, farmers saw the body of a woman lying in a suspicious state. After which the police were immediately informed through the head. The police reached the spot and took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem, started investigating the case when it was found that the woman's house is some distance away from the spot.

It is being told that on Wednesday (February 8), the woman left the house towards the fields. When she did not reach home in the evening, the family got engaged in the search. The Superintendent of Police (SP) has said that the woman was strangled to death. Injury marks were also found on her neck. At the same time, the family has alleged murder after rape. At present, the investigation of the case is going on. The body has been sent for post-mortem. The report is awaited.
