Yash Johar, who is the son of Dharma Production, was a famous producer of Indian Hindi cinema and was born on September 6, 1929, in Lahore. Yash Johar passed away on June 26, 2004, and Yash founded Dharma Production in 1976.

He was famous for his films, including a grand set and a foreign shoot, and they were nine siblings. Among them, the most educated were the same. Yash is said to have married Hiroo, sister of B.R. Chopra, one of the famous filmmakers, and Karan Johar, the son of two, who is the famous filmmaker of today's time.

Yash passed away at the age of 74 due to a chest infection and cancer and started his career in Bollywood from Sunil Dutt's production house Ajanta Arts in 1952. Then Yash produced films like Dostana(1980), Duniya(1984), Muqaddar Ka Faisla(1987), Agnipath (1990), Gumrah(1993), Duplicate (1998), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gam (2001), Kal Ho Na Ho(2003).

Yash Johar was very sure in the pooja recitation and had built a small temple in his house. Where he prayed for about three minutes in the morning. What's more, his films show this impression. You may have seen his film be something, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kal Ho Na Ho, the temple of God is mostly shown.

After the split, Yash Johar's family moved from Lahore to Delhi, where Yash Johar's father opened a sweet shop and, because he was educated, he sat at the shop. But Yash did not like it at all and Yash Johar's mother understood this, so she gave Yash some jewellery and money from home and sent him to Mumbai. Yash earned a reputation in Mumbai and said goodbye to the world on June 26, 2004.
