Hinduism has a good time for everything and a proper way to do it. A lot of things have been mentioned in the Puranas and Scriptures about the post-death institutions. At the same time, they have been given the right time, method and rules to do so. Although no one is under control at the time of death, there are some good and bad times for death. According to the scriptures, if there is death in auspicious times, the soul of the deceased attains salvation. At the same time, dying at an inauspicious time like the Quintet period poses a great threat to the family of the deceased. Similarly, the month of Kharmas is also considered very inauspicious for death.

Death in kharmas then gets hell:-
In Kharmas, the sun lives in Sagittarius and this reduces its brightness. Because of this, the work done in this month is not successful. This month is also called Malamas. According to the Puranas, a person who dies in Kharmas finds a place in hell. Therefore, death is not considered good in this month. Even Paramvir Bhishma Pitamaha, who was sifted by Arjuna's arrows in the Mahabharata war, had waited till the sun entered Capricorn to kill his soul. Thereafter, on the day of Makar Sankranti, Bhishma Pitamaha died. In fact, he was blessed with the gift of sacrificing his life out of his will.

This work is forbidden in kharmas:-
Auspicious deeds are also prohibited in the month of Kharmas. Therefore, due to this, things like marriage, shaving, house admission, construction, starting a new business are not done. This year, the month will be from 16th December, 2021 to 14th January, 2022.
