In ancient India, such great people have been born, who are still remembered. One such great Acharya Chanakya, who is also known as 'Kautilya'. Today we are going to tell you interesting things related to them. He was the teacher of Taxila University. He has composed many texts, of which 'Arthashastra' is the most prominent. Economics is considered a mirror of the Mauryan Indian society. Apart from this, he has done many such works, due to which he is always remembered and probably will be remembered even further. It is also believed that Acharya Chanakya was born in 375 BCE while his death in 283 BCE, but how he died remains a mystery even today.

According to the historical Sanskrit drama Mudrarakshaas composed in the fourth century, Chanakya's real name was Vishnugupta. It is believed that he named it himself and there is a story behind it. It is said that after Chanakya's father Chanak was killed by King Dhanananda of Magadha in a crime of treason, he changed his name to Vishnugupta to avoid his soldiers. However, Chanakya later retaliated by killing his father and ousted King Dhanananda of the Nanda dynasty and made Chandragupta the emperor of Magath in his place. The story related to the destruction of the Nanda dynasty by Kautilya i.e. Chanakya and the establishment of the Maurya dynasty comes in the Vishnu Purana.

Although, Chanakya's name, date of birth, place of birth and his death have all been the subject of controversy, but the most controversy has been about his death. There are many stories about his death, but no one knows which story is true. The first story is that one day Chanakya rode in his chariot and went away from Magadha to a forest and after that he never returned. One story which is most prevalent in relation to Chanakya's death is that he was killed by the queen Helena of Magath after giving him poison. Another story is that Acharya was burnt alive by King Bindusar's minister Subandhu, due to which he died. Although which of these stories is true, it is not yet clear.
