Andhra Pradesh: The death toll has risen to 14,386 with four new deaths in the last 24 hours. On the other hand, 466 new patients were cured on Wednesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 20,48,971 and currently there are 3898 active cases. 326 fresh cases were registered, taking the total number of cases across the state to 20,67,255. Andhra Pradesh has so far conducted 2.96 COVID-19 tests across the state, which includes 37,985 tests in the last 24 hours.
On the other hand, 12,885 new Covid-19 cases were registered in the last 24 hours across the country. The tally was 8.3 per cent higher than Wednesday's report. With the fresh cases, the country's total caseload has risen to 3,43,21,025, according to data released by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare early on Thursday. Kerala, with 7,312 cases, is among the top five states that have reported the highest number of cases. More Covid-19 cases have been registered.
Other states that reported the highest number of Covid-19 cases are Maharashtra with 1,193 cases, Tamil Nadu with 962 cases, West Bengal with 919 cases and Mizoram with 526 cases. 84.69 per cent of the new cases have been reported from these five states, with Kerala alone accounting for 56.75 per cent of the new cases. Meanwhile, 461 people succumbed to the Covid-19 infection in the last 24 hours, taking the country's toll to 4,59,652. Kerala (362) had the highest casualties, followed by Maharashtra with 39 daily deaths.
