New Delhi: A large number of people have died during the second wave of the Corona epidemic. During that time, there was also a huge increase in the cases of corona infection. The major reason for the deaths from Corona was said to be a lack of oxygen. At that time too, there was a demand for compensation for the victims' families. Now the Standing Committee of Parliament on Health and Family Welfare has submitted its report. It has been suggested that the families of those who died due to lack of oxygen during the Corona epidemic should be compensated by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Also, there should be an audit of these deaths.

The committee was headed by Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Ram Gopal Yadav. The report said that the committee is very frustrated with the government's neglect in this matter. At the same time, it suggests to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to investigate the matter of deaths due to lack of oxygen during the entire Corona period, including the second wave of coronavirus infection. The committee has said in the report that the ministry should necessarily audit the deaths due to lack of oxygen in the Corona period in collaboration with the states. Along with this, documents should also be prepared on these deaths. So that in the future, health services in the country can be further improved. Also, challenges related to health services can be tackled.

The parliamentary committee has said that they want transparency and a responsible attitude from government agencies in this regard. The committee has also said in its report that the ministry should investigate the matter of these deaths and provide appropriate compensation to the families of those who lost their lives due to lack of oxygen.
