On World Mental Health Day, Deepika Padukone will unveil 'Charity Closet Initiative'

Ever since Deepika Padukone founded the Live Love Laugh Foundation in 2015, actors and philanthropists have been exploring new ways to overcome mental health problems and raise resources for people suffering from mental health problems. On the occasion of World Mental Health Day this year, Deepika will announce a new way in which fans can connect with her while supporting this task and every month, the actress shares her most favourite clothes for charity at DeepikaPadukone.com/closet.

Through this clothing charity initiative, good quality clothing will be sold to generate income to support mental health, or donated directly to the NGOs. In addition, such clothes which are not in the condition of wearing will be recycled for poor people as blankets.

Talking about her initiative, Deepika says, "Stigmatizing mental illness and creating awareness about the importance of mental health is one thing I've always felt very strongly about and sharing some of my favourite clothes and accessories with your community of fans, friends and well-wishers is a small but important part of that idea".
