Deepika Padukone’s upcoming movie Chhapaak is creating quite buzz since its inception.  Touted to be a story of trauma and triumph and the unquashable human spirit, Deepika  had taken to social media to break the news that her next big project would be helmed by Meghna Gulzar, who had last directed Alia Bhatt's Raazi and Vikrant Massey would be featured as the male lead. When Deepika had unveiled the poster for the movie last month, it had gained acclaim from all quarters, including Bollywood celebs such as her fellow leading lady of B-town Priyanka Chopra, Varun Dhawan, Vicky Kaushal, Rajkummar Rao, Parineeti Chopra, Jacqueline Fernandez among others. In the meantime, Deepika Padukone was captured by the shutterbugs in the national capital where she is presently shooting for the much-awaited movie.

In the video, Vikrant Massey of Balika Vadhu and A Death In The Gunj fame, her co-star in the movie, was also seen alongside her as they both stepped out of an auto-rickshaw while in character for the movie. Vikrant can be seen carrying a luggage bag while Deepika, dressed in a red salwar kurta and a handbag exudes simplicity in her new avatar for her movie.

Deepika's character is called Malti in the film, which is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal.
