The defamation case filed against Priya Ramani on behalf of former Union Minister MJ Akbar has been rejected by Delhi's Rouse Avenue Dalit. The court said in its judgment that the woman has the right to submit her complaint even after decades. With this, the Rouse Avenue court has released Priya Ramani in the defamation case. The court said, 'Sexual exploitation destroys self-esteem and self-confidence, the reputation of a person cannot be protected at the cost of respect, women have the right to submit their grievances even after decades.'

The Rouse Avenue court said, 'The victim did not know for years what was happening to her. Women have the right to talk about their crimes anytime and anywhere. Even after decades, a woman can raise her voice against the crime against her. A woman cannot be punished for raising her voice against sexual abuse crimes.'

Priya Ramani's first reaction after the court's decision has also come out. She has thanked her advocate and her team for this. Priya Ramani said, "I thank my lawyer for this decision. Wonderful team." In the defamation case filed by Akbar last week, the debate on both sides was completed and the court reserved its decision. MJ Akbar's advocate Geeta Luthra argued that the case was not about sexual harassment, but related to her reputation, in a debate in Rouse Avenue court.
