New Delhi, India: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will release the third positive indigenization list of defence equipment on Thursday, promoting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for 'Atmanirbhar Bharat.'

"The Ministry of Defence today released the third positive indigenization list, taking forward Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ambition for Atmanirbhar Bharat. This third list builds on the 101-item first list and the 108-item second list, both of which were released in 2020 and 2021, respectively " Defence Minister said.

according to the Ministry of Defence,  the third list  builds on the first list, which included 101 things, and the second list, which included 108 items and was issued on August 21, 2020 and May 31, 2021, respectively. The 155mm/39 Cal Ultra-Light Howitzer, Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Mk-IA - Enhanced Indigenised Content, conventional submarines, and communication satellites GSAT-7C are among the important items on the first list.

The next-generation Corvette, Land-Based MRSAM Weapon System, Smart Anti-Field Weapon System (SAAW) Mk-I and Onboard Oxygen Generation System (OBOGS) based integrated life support system for fighter aircraft, and 1000HP Engine for Tank are among the major items on the second list (T-72).

During 100 items will be on the third list, including complicated equipment and systems that are being developed and are anticipated to result in solid orders over the next five years. According to the Defence Ministry, orders worth more than Rs 2,10,000 crore are projected to be placed on the Industry in the next five years as part of the goods mentioned in the third list.
