"Defence Minister was buying fish in Goa while PM signed the Rafale deal": Rahul Gandhi

Congress President Rahul Gandhi addressed a political rally in Karnataka’s Ramadurga for the upcoming Karnataka state assembly polls. He launched an attack on Prime minister Narendra Modi accusing him of favouring industrialists.

He questioned Narendra Modi on being silent over the gigantic Punjab National Bank fraud corruption allegations over Jay Shah, BJP President Amit Shah’s son. He also targeted the PM for not being a man of his words and said the nation has not elected him for ‘delivering speeches’

He patted the back of current Karnataka Congress government for their schemes in the state and lashed out at BJP for their corruption.

“Whatever you do, you do it for people like Nirav Modi. You give thousands of crores money to super-rich people in the country; while in Karnataka we give seven kg rice at free of cost to the poor,” said Gandhi.

Gandhi also targeted BJP for the Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh saying that it has destroyed the education system in the state. He also mocked Modi and Parrikar over Rafale Deal.

“Defence Minister (Parrikar) was roaming in Goa’s fish market buying fish and remained oblivious to the changes Modi has made to the deal,” he said at the rally.

Earlier in the day, Gandhi visited the Saundatti Renuka Yellamma temple and Godchi Temple. Later, he met the farmers at Sunnal in Karnataka.
