Defense Minister arrives in Ladakh for two days, visits Amarnath today

Srinagar: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh arrived at Leh Ladakh for a two-day visit on Friday to assess the security situation. Meanwhile, he is going to visit the Line of Control (LoC) today and review the situation there. According to the information received, the Defense Minister is also going to visit the Amarnath temple today. Before that, on Friday, he has completed a visit to the Lukung military outpost of Leh-Ladakh to convey to Indian soldier on counter-strategic preparations amid the issue of Chinese encroachment on the Line of Actual Control (LAC). The Defense Minister along with Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat and Army Chief General MM Narwane reached Leh-Ladakh on the fronts to raise their morale. It also gave a message to China that it was in the interest of both countries to settle it out with discussions.

Defense Minister Rajnath went to Leh while addressing the soldiers sends a message to China about the border issue that no power in the world can occupy one inch of India's land. Adopting a staunch stance, he said that a solution is being expected from the discussions between two countries, but to what extent the issue is going to be resolved cannot be guaranteed. He also said that India is not only ready but also capable, to respond to any move by China to redefine the LAC with the help of military power.

India has given the message of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam: According to the information received, while addressing the soldiers at Lukung military post, Rajnath Singh said that India is the only country in the world which has sent a message of harmony to the whole world. We have never attacked any country, nor have we seized anyone's land. India has issued the message of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.
