Counting of all seats for the formation of a new government has started from 8 am in the Delhi Assembly Elections 2020. A total of 21 counting centers have been set up in Delhi. All eyes are on the counting of votes started in Deoli assembly seat. In the Deoli Assembly seat, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Prakash Jarwal was leading in the third round counting by 8092 votes over his nearest rival Arvind Kumar of BJP.

The Deoli assembly seat is reserved for the Scheduled Castes. This seat comes under the South Delhi Lok Sabha seat. Prakash Jarwal of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is the current MLA of Deoli. On February 8, 63.43 percent of the people voted in the Deoli assembly seat.

In the 2015 assembly elections, AAP candidate Prakash Jarwal defeated BJP's Arvind Kumar by a margin of 63,937 votes. Prakash Jarwal got 96,530 votes while Arvind Kumar got 32,593 votes. Prakash Jarwal was once again given a ticket on behalf of AAP in the Deoli seat. The Bharatiya Janata Party once again placed bets on Arvind Kumar and the Congress, making Arbinder Singh a candidate.
