After the announcement of the election on January 6, the nomination process started from January 14 to 21 and after that, the candidates were campaigning till 6 pm on February 6. At the same time, polling was held at more than 13 thousand polling booths on February 8 and the total vote percentage was 62.59. According to a senior official, the counting of votes will begin at 8 am and it is estimated that the situation may clear up by noon. It is expected that the results of all 70 seats will be declared by late evening. At the same time, all EVMs are kept in 21 strong rooms set up in 11 districts, where about 30 thousand police personnel are deployed under their protection.
