New Delhi: Baba's Dhaba suddenly made headlines in 2020. There was talk of this dhaba in Malviya Nagar in Delhi. Elderly couple Kanta Prasad and Badami Devi who operated it were also in the limelight. Seeing their pain, people came forward to help and 'Baba Ka Dhaba' soon shifted to a restaurant. It is now reported that 'Baba Ka Dhaba' has again reached the place from where he made headlines.

According to media reports, Kanta Prasad has closed the restaurant due to shortage of customers. Dhaba is said to have closed in February itself. Tell us that sales had jumped 10 times after the video of the elderly couple went viral on social media on YouTube, which came down drastically a few months later. Prasad told the media that, "Our business collapsed due to corona lockdown. The per day sales declined from Rs.3500 to Rs.1000. Earnings were not enough to run a family of eight people.”

Prasad said he had invested around Rs 5 lakh in the restaurant. Hired three people. The monthly expenditure was about Rs 1 lakh. 35,000 for rent, 36,000 for the salary of three employees and 15,000 for purchase of electricity-water bills and food items. But the average monthly sales never exceeded Rs.40,000. This cost them a lot, and they finally came to the conclusion that opening a restaurant was a wrong decision.
