New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced on Thursday that the Delhi Cabinet has adopted a start-up policy that aims to provide financial and procedural assistance to youth in starting businesses, as well as forming a 20-member task force for the purpose.
He also stated that the "Business Blaster" programme, which is presently being implemented in Delhi government schools, will be expanded to include college students, allowing them to work on their business ideas with government seed money.
"Start-ups will receive financial assistance from the government in the form of a collateral-free loan, financial portions of rent, and employee pay." It would develop a team of agencies and experts to provide free trademark registration and other procedures assistance to new start-ups," Kejriwal said.
The 20-member task force, which includes a government officer, academics, and business and trade representatives, will decide on start-up registration applications, according to Kejriwal, who expressed hope that the strategy will result in a boom in Delhi start-up sector.
