New Delhi: The air quality in Delhi and the surrounding areas, which has been hazardous since Diwali, has improved, but breathing is still difficult. On Friday morning, the AQI was 999 in Anand Vihar, Delhi, and above 740 in Shahdara. The overall AQI for Delhi is 339. Ghaziabad, Noida, Greater Noida, and Faridabad are all experiencing poor weather.
Apart from Anand Vihar and Shahdara in Delhi, the AQI stays over 300 in the majority of places, with AQI 681 in Wazirpur, AQI 610 in Jahangirpuri, and Sonia Vihar among them (588). On the other side, it's 575 in Loni, Ghaziabad, 871 in Noida Sector 62, and 729 in Greater Noida's Knowledge Park. Faridabad has an AQI of 597.
The highest temperature in Delhi on Thursday was 27.8 degrees Celsius, one degree over usual, according to sources. The lowest temperature on Thursday morning was 9.7 degrees Celsius, which is 2 degrees lower than the season average, according to the IMD. Furthermore, according to CPCB real-time statistics, the AQI was reported in the serious category at 402 on Thursday at 7 p.m. At 9 a.m., the AQI was 390. The city's 24-hour AQI was 400 at the time.
IMD issued an orange alert for Chennai due to the rainfall in Tamil Nadu
