New Delhi: The situation has worsened due to the growing havoc of corona virus across the country. Meanwhile, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has convened an emergency meeting. Sources said cm Kejriwal is likely to take tough decisions in view of the corona situation in the meeting. Health Minister Satyendra Jain, Health Secretary and other senior officials will be present at the meeting.

Cm Kejriwal is also scheduled to hold a meeting with Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal at 11 am today and Kejriwal will brainstorm with the Lieutenant Governor on the covid-19 situation in the city. According to the health department, 17,282 new cases have been registered in Delhi on Wednesday, the highest ever reported in a day. More than 100 people have also died. The Chief Minister's Office tweeted, "Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal will brainstorm on the situation with the Lieutenant Governor at 11 am on Thursday in view of the spread of corona virus infection. Kejriwal will then hold a meeting with Health Minister Satyendra Jain, Health Secretary and other senior officials at 12 noon on the situation in Corona in Delhi."

According to the latest health ministry report in the country, 200,739 new corona cases have occurred and 1038 people have died in the last 24 hours. However, 93,528 people have also recovered from corona. Earlier on Tuesday, 184,372 new cases were reported. Since October 2 last year, the country has the highest number of infected deaths.
