New Delhi: Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national president Arvind Kejriwal has said that if his government is re-elected in the upcoming assembly elections, they will clean the river Yamuna. Kejriwal claimed that he will not only make the Yamuna clean but will make him so that the residents of Delhi will also be able to take a dip in it.

Addressing the fourth town hall meeting in East Delhi on Friday, CM Arvind Kejriwal has said that clearing the Yamuna in the next five years will be the priority of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government. He said that on coming to power for the second time in Delhi, Yamuna will be made so clean that the people of Delhi will be able to take a dip in it. Kejriwal asked the people present there, 'Do you think we should clean the Yamuna? The answer was yes.

Kejriwal said that 'in the Yamuna, a lot of sewer water and industrial waste is discharged. We have identified it. I can say this with full confidence that within the next five years, the Yamuna will be clear. He said that a lot of work is yet to be done in Delhi.
